Four men arrested following incident in Belper

Police have arrested four people in connection with an assault in Belper in early December.

Officers were called at 10.45pm on Friday December 2 to a report of an altercation on King Street outside the Green House pub. Two men aged 27, from Jacksdale and 24 from Heage, sustained serious injuries.

Three men aged 32, 30 and 27, from Eastwood and a 23-year-old man from Nottingham, have all been arrested on suspicion of the attempted murder of the 27-year-old man. The men have been released on police bail while enquiries continue.A Derbyshire police spokesperson added:
