Russell Slade appointed as new Coventry City manager

Coventry City have appointed Russell Slade as its new manager.

The former Charlton boss takes control of the Sky Blues who have been without a full-time manager since the resignation of Tony Mowbray in September.

He'll manage the League One side, who are are currently ranked 23rd in the table, until the end of the season.

Mr Slade is expected to speak to the world's media at a conference at the Ricoh Arena tomorrow afternoon.

In a statement Coventry City said Slade was the right person to take the club forward.
