Prince William makes first official Derby visit today

The Duke of Cambridge makes his first official visit to Derby today.

Prince William is scheduled to meet volunteers and clients of the Padley Development Centre, one of Derby's longest established charities, and tour the shop floor at aero engine maker Rolls-Royce.

The Duke has also visited the city's Bombardier train factory, inspecting Crossrail carriage assembly lines.

He test drove a train, and met apprentices at the site.
