Cricket star Colin Milburn remembered in biographical play
The story of cricketing hero Colin Milburn will be dramatised in a new play touring county clubs, including Derbyshire County Cricket Club tonight (9 November).
Milburn played for Northamptonshire between 1960 and 1974, and also played for England before losing his eye in 1969. He attempted to continue to play cricket to a professional level after his injury and was described as 'a great big man with a great big heart'.
His story has been brought to the stage by former cricketer turned playwright James Graham-Brown who played for Derbyshire from 1974 to 1991.
