Queen presents West Midlands Ambulance paramedic with MBE
An emergency biker paramedic has been recognised for his work with West Midlands Ambulance Service with an MBE presented by Her Majesty The Queen
Steve Harris was named in the Queen's Birthday Honours List for services to care and voluntary service in Birmingham.
Steve joined the service in 1978 and has worked as a biker paramedic for 20 years, helping thousands of people in Birmingham's city centre and beyond.
Steve said he was 'humbled' to have even been nominated for the award, saying that he feels he simply gets up and does the 'same job' as other paramedic colleagues.
