Lines reopen after major rail delays in Birmingham

Railway lines have now reopened between Birmingham’s International and New Street station, but passengers are warned that there are still a number of delays.

National Rail says that some of the delays could be as long as an hour.

Several services were cancelled this morning due to a person being struck by a train north of Birmingham International.

Police have confirmed that a man was found dead at the scene and his family have been informed.
