Men break into 76-year-old's house with machete
Staffordshire Police is warning people to be on their guard against suspicious callers at the door following a burglary in Newcastle.
Three masked men broke into the home of a 76-year-old man in the Milehouse Lane area of Newcastle, Thursday evening (3 November).
The man was not injured but was left shaken by the incident.
The man answered the door and the three men, wearing masks with one holding a machete, pushed their way into the house without permission. They threatened the man and made and searched the house. Nothing was stolen.
The main offender is described as white, tall with dark hair and was wearing dark clothing and a mask. The other two were described as white, smaller than the first man with short black hair, wearing black tops and blue jeans. All three men had local accents.
