Two men stabbed as car stolen in Brownhills break-in

A man has been arrested after two people were stabbed during a break-in before their car was driven off in Brownhills in the West Midlands.

After the vehicle was taken, there was an attempt to rob a local shop near the scene before the car crashed into an ambulance, whose crew were on their way to reports of the earlier stabbing.

West Midlands Police officers caught a suspect, believed to be in his 30s, after a short chase on foot.

The emergency services were first called after reports of a break-in at a home in Tamar Close at about 5pm on Sunday (30 October).

There was then an attempted robbery at a store in nearby Shannon Drive, before the collision happened just yards away in Wilkin Road.

The two men are in hospital with what police described as "serious" injuries.
