Birmingham hit by three knife crimes in 24 hours
Birmingham has been hit by three incidents of knife crime in just 24 hours.In the most serious incident, detectives launched a murder investigation after a 28-year-old was fatally stabbed in Hadfield Way in Kingshurst on Tuesday night.He was taken to hospital by a passer-by but died at Heartlands Hospital.A 27-year-old man from Shard End was arrested in connection with the incident.
The other incidents saw a 28-year-old man stabbed in the back, arm and stomach in Long Nuke Road in Northfield just after 3pm on Wednesday.A 17-year-old remained in custody on Thursday morning.In the final attack, a 16 year-old boy was bailed by police until next month after a teenager of the same age was stabbed at Birmingham’s NEC.
The victim was taken to hospital with a single stab wound to the leg following the incident in Hall 4 where the 2016 UK Construction Week event is being held.
