Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty has been awarded the Freedom of the City of Derby, where he trained for his gold and silver medal success in Rio.

The 21 year-old from Uttoxeter in Staffordshire is the youngest person ever to receive the title and the first since the late Brian Clough, in 2003. He received the award after a unanimous decision by the city council.
