A film showing the final two weeks of murdered schoolgirl Kayleigh Haywood's life has won a national award.

Kayleigh's Love Story was recognised at an award ceremony in London yesterday.

The Clarion awards are known by those in corporate and charity sectors as the so-called Oscars of specialist video.

The five-minute-film was produced by Leicestershire Police to highlight the dangers of online grooming to both parents and children.

The 15-year-old from Measham was groomed online by Luke Harlow - a man she'd never met - before she was killed.

Harlow, 28, was jailed for 12 years for grooming, sexually assaulting and falsely imprisoning Kayleigh.

While Stephen Beadman, 29, was jailed for 35 years for raping and murdering the teenager, along with falsely imprisoning her.

The film, which was made with the support of Kayleigh's parents, has been watched by more than 3,500 students and screened in nearly one hundred schools.
