Women against 'state pension inequality' hold protest

Campaigners against changes to the state pension age for women born in the 1950s are protesting in Chesterfield today.

Members of the Women Against State Pension Inequality (WASPI) say the speed at which the change was introduced to increase the age to 65 in 1995 did not give women the chance to make plans for retirement.

The group does not want the pension age to revert back to 60, but wants a a 'bridging' pension to cover the gap from age 60 until State Pension Age.
