Javeed 'killer' thought to have fled the country
West Midlands Police are hunting for a murder suspect from Derby who fled to Pakistan.
Officers believe 25-year-old Tahir Zarif shot dead a Birmingham businessman in February.
Father-of-four Akhtar Javeed was killed at a warehouse in Digbeth in an armed raid.
A few days after the shooting the suspect fled to Pakistan, this video shows him leaving from Heathrow Airport.
Police say they've been working tirelessly with the relevant authorities to locate him, DCI Martin Slevin is leading the case.
"We have an outstanding offender - the person we believe pulled the trigger, and without bringing that person back to the UK to face justice, we can't rest, and I have promised the family we will do everything we possibly can to bring that offender back to the UK to face the courts - and for them to get answers about the death of their father - and only then can we be satisfied fully that we've done our job"
The family of 56 year old Akhtar Javeed are confident the suspect will be found, his daughter Lilas.
"We have absolute faith in the authorities, here and abroad, will do their best to actually bring him back - to answer for what he's done - and it is that hope that keeps us going to be honest that justice will be done"
