A body has been found at Didot power station months after a partial collapse of the boiler house, police have confirmed.

The station, in Oxfordshire, was being prepared for demolition when concrete and steel came down killing Michael Collings, 53, and leaving three others injured in February.

Thames Valley Police said the families of demolition workers Ken Cresswell, 57, John Shaw, 61 and Chris Huxtable, 34, have been informed.

Removal of debris has been paused while specialists from Thames Valley Police, Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue and other agencies enter the site.

Police say the recovery of the body will take place. The person is yet to be formally identified.
