Travelling to V Festival?
Thousands of music fans are expected to descend on Weston Park from Friday 19th to Monday 22 August for the annual event.
But those driving have been advised to not use a sat-nav or internet route map. Instead travellers have been told to follow the event directional signs as there will be some road closures in place.
Highways England has put a number of contingency plans in place to alleviate congestion and to get vehicles to and from Weston Park.
Travelling from north on the M6?You should join the M54, leave at junction 3 and follow signs along the A41 to the car parks.
Travelling south on the M6?You should leave at junction 12 and follow signs on the A5 to the car parks.
Leaving the site? Vehicles should follow the signs that will direct them back to the motorways.
Drop-off and collection points? These will be clearly signposted from both directions on the A5, as will routes for camper vans.
Travelling by busBuses will also be run, for a small cost, to take people from Wolverhampton, Stafford and Telford rail stations to Weston Park and back again whether they arrive by train or not.
Coaches and buses will use a separate gate to avoid car entrances and exits becoming congested.
