The Adam Peaty effect - youngsters in Leicester to swim for free

Four of Leicester City Council's swimming pools are to offer free swims for those aged 16 and under. The sessions that had previously ran over the summer holidays will now take place throughout the year. The announcement comes after 21 year old Adam Peaty who trains in Loughborough won TeamGBs first gold medal for Britain in the Rio Olympics only yesterday.

Four city council swimming pools are offering the free swims to those living in the city who have registered for a card online.Braunstone Leisure Centre, Cossington Street Sports Centre, New Parks Leisure Centre and Spence Street Sports Centre are all taking part.
