Move over Peaty there's a new golden boy in town!
Midlands swimmer Adam Peaty is not the region's only golden boy -Birmingham's National Sea Life Centre have named a golden puffer fish in Peaty's honour following his historic win.
The 21-year-old from Uttoxeter became the first British man to win an Olympic swimming gold medal in 28 years.
Pools in Derby have already seen a rise in interest in the sport following his success and now Birmingham's popular water attraction has chosen to honour the olympian.
Amy Langham, General Manager at the National Sea Life Centre said: “Adam’s gold win is a great start to the Rio Olympics for Team GB and we wanted to recognise the local youngster’s talent by naming our resident at the centre.
The Centre hopes Birmingham's own Adam Peaty will delight visitors with his aquatic skills as Utoxetter's own olympian.
