Vardy in Hollywood as talks continue over biopic film

Jamie Vardy and his new wife Rebekah have been in Los Angeles, amid reports the striker is in discussions over the production of a film biopic charting his rise from a non-league footballer to a Premier League title winner.

Rebekah Vardy posted a picture of the pair of them posing in the Hollywood hills.

The trip is thought to have coincided with Leicester City playing PSG in a pre-season friendly in California.

According to the Daily Mail the Leicester City striker in talks with screenwriter Paul Tamsay, whose credits include 2010's The Fighter, and producer Adrian Butchart, who worked on the Goal! series, over a biopic in the near future.

One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson, who is understood to be a close friend of Vardy and attended his wedding, has previously shown interest in playing the starring role.

Vardy, who began his career at Stocksbridge Park Steels, also had spells at Halifax Town and Fleetwood Town before joining then Championship side Leicester in 2012 for £1million.

He helped the Foxes to promotion to the top-flight in his second season with the club and to avoid relegation immediately afterwards.
