UK venues sign up for I Am Team GB
Some of the UK’s most iconic venues have signed up to host events for the nation’s biggest ever sports day I Am Team GB.
ITV have teamed up with the National lottery to launch the event on Saturday 27th August.
As well as offering hundreds of free fitness activities to people of all ages across the UK the event will also be a homecoming for our lottery-funded Olympic athletes when they return from Rio.
Famous faces from ITV will join the returning heroes at venues including the famous cobbles of Coronation Street, the hills and dales of Emmerdale and the countrys biggest sporting stadiums.
Events are taking place at the following locations:
Sports Wales National Centre
Gateshead International Stadium, Glasgow
National Hockey Centre, Ricoh Arena
Hope Cove in Devon
Reading Rowing Club
Ullswater Yacht Club in Penrith
Here in the West Midlands the Ricoh Arena will be hosting a huge range of events including:

At 9.30am on 27 August, the big switch off will see ITV’s seven channels come off air for an hour to encourage the Great British public to get up and out and involved in sport at one of the many events happening across the country.
