Thousands raised for families of five men killed at recycling plant
Nearly £22,000 has been raised for the families offive men who were killed when a wall collapsed at Hawkeswood Metals in Birmingham.
The families of the five men are facing bills of around £5,000 each to repatriate their bodies.
A local newspaper has started a campaign to raise cash to help towards the costs of returning the men's bodies to their home country of Gambia.
It took two days to remove the bodies after they were buried underneath tons of rubble at a recycling plant in Nechells.
They were killed when a 15ft tall wall, made of heavy concrete blocks collapsed at the site in Aston Church Road.
Post-mortem examinations are due to take place today.
