Hospital will no longer carry out childrens' heart surgery

Heart surgery will no longer be carried out at Leicester's Glenfield Hospital after the service has been cut by NHS England.

The unit was threatened with closure last year when a review by NHS England had recommended the service in Leicester was shut down.

This news follows years of controversy and campaigning by those who rely on their local service.
