Timeline: The Kayleigh Haywood case so far

By Phil Brewster

It's more than seven months since Kayleigh Haywood's naked body was found dumped in a field in Leicestershire.

The 15 year old schoolgirl went missing last November - sparking a huge police search. Her body was eventually discovered in undergrowth on the outskirts of Ibstock.

In Kayleigh's home village of Measham there was a huge outpouring of emotion. Several churches held candlelit vigils & memorial services.

Purple bows, Kayleigh's favourite colour, were tied to trees. Flowers were left by locals, along with messages of support. And Books of Condolence were opened for people to express their grief and shock at the news.

Kayleigh was last seen on Friday 13 November when her parents dropped her off outside Ibstock Community College. She later told them she was going for a sleepover at a friends house.

Just hours later she would be dead. A post mortem examination revealed she died from head and facial injuries.

At Kayleigh's funeral in January, hundreds of mourners lined the streets of Measham as her coffin was carried on a white horse-drawn carriage. At the service tributes were paid to Kayleigh by her parents.

Three days after Kayleigh went missing two men - Stephen Beadman and Luke Harlow - were arrested on suspicion of kidnap and murder.

On his Facebook page Luke Harlow describes himself as a professional serial killer - posting pictures with the words 'It's clobbering time."

His posts also reveal his fascination with horror movies and images. And on his Twitter account he also posted the comment, "If it bleeds, we can kill it."

Stephen Beadman ran a landscape gardening service.

In April this year he pleaded guilty to raping and murdering Kayleigh. Luke Harlow has admitted grooming and two counts of sexual activity with the teenager. Harlow has also pleaded guilty to two charges of attempting to meet two other 15-year-old girls for sex after grooming them online.

Yesterday Stephen Beadman who has admitted raping and killing Kayleigh, was found guilty of false imprisonment.
