Vigil held in Birmingham in memory of Jo Cox
A vigil has been held in Birmingham this evening (Friday 17th June) to honour murdered Labour MP Jo Cox.
Hundreds of people gathered at Birmingham's Victoria Square for the minute silence.
Tributes were paid to the fallen MP by politicians and community leaders who urged the public to remember her legacy and to not let "hate triumph."
The MP for Ladywood Shabana Mahmood paid tribute to her friend and colleague.
She said: "It's incomprehensible to me that somebody who was so full of life and energy has been taken from us in such violent circumstances."
