Flood alerts remain in place across Midlands

There are still a number of flood alerts and warnings in place across the Midlands as the region braces itself for yet another day of rain.

Parts of Nottingham were hit by flash flooding last night, leaving roads and car parks submerged.

There are three flood warnings in place in the Midlands today (16 June) meaning flooding is expected, as well as 16 flood alerts.

  • River Mease at Clifton Campville, Harlaston and Croxall

  • Grace Dieu Brook at Whitwick and Thringstone

  • River Penk at Penkridge

  • River Trent in Derbyshire

  • River Worfe

  • Bourne Brook (Tamworth)

  • River Stour in Worcestershire

  • River Anker and River Sence

  • Lower River Soar in Leicestershire

  • River Mease

  • River Cole

  • Middle Tame

  • River Stour and Smestow Brook in the Black Country and South Staffordshire

  • Upper Tame

  • River Sow and River Penk

  • Loughborough Urban Watercourses

  • River Trent Tributaries in Nottinghamshire
