Kitten travels hundreds of miles clinging to car
A kitten has travelled 300 miles clinging to the bumper of a Navy helicopter pilots car.
Lieutenant Nick Grimmer was travelling from Birmingham back to his Royal Naval Air Station in Cornwall.
Unbeknown to him, Tigger the kitten spent the journey clinging to the back bumper of his BMW.
The 32-year-old pilot only began to investigate after he heard meowing coming from his car the following day:
The kitten has been named Tigger by the pilot and his colleagues in 814 Naval Air Squadron.
Tigger was unharmed and efforts are now being made to trace it's owners, but the Squadron, known as the Flying Tigers are happy to take the kitten under their wing:
The team have launched "Operation Tiger Kitten" and with the help of social media, they hope to find its owner by the end of the week.
