Di Matteo: "It is time to rebuild and turn Villa around"

Aston Villa's new manager says his job is going to be difficult, but that it's time to rebuild and turn the club around.

Roberto Di Matteo was introduced to the media today alongside Villa's new owner and chairman, Dr Tony Xia.

The sale of the club to Recon Group, which is owned by Dr Xia, was confirmed yesterday.

As a manager, Di Matteo previously got West Bromwich Albion promoted back into the top flight, and has won both the Champions League and FA Cup.

Former Villa manager Brian Little, who was boss at the club between 1994 and 1998, believes Di Matteo is the right man for the job.
