For over twenty years she has been a committed member of the Leicestershire School Crossing Patrol Service based on Northampton Road in Market Harborough, ensuring the safety of both the pupils and parents/carers of Little Bowden Primary School.

Her dedication to duty, effective skills and road safety knowledge has gained her the respect of her peers including the school’s senior leadership team.

In addition her pleasant approach, cheerfulness and fortitude in the completion of her duties, in all weathers, has ensured that she has become a respected and valued member of the community.

Parents and carers of the children have complete trust in her. She has also spent many years as a classroom volunteer at Little Bowden giving up her own time to help the children with their reading. She also regularly volunteers to give talks at the school on road safety.
