Cat missing for nine months found 150 miles from home

A cat who disappeared from his home nine months ago in Nottinghamshire has been found 150 miles away in Hounslow.

When Buddy went missing from Hucknall last September, owner John Pidgeon put posters up around his local area and called his local council to see whether Buddy had been found.

John said:

The RSPCA received a call on May 29 from a concerned member of the public who had noticed Buddy looking a bit lost and confused.

When inspector Leanna Hone arrived she took Buddy to the vets and scanned him for a microchip which fortunately had been kept up to date.

Inspector Hone then drove Buddy to Northampton where he was picked up by a second RSPCA staff member and taken the rest of the way home to Nottingham.

Inspector Hone said:

Buddy has developed a thyroid issue and is underweight but other than that he is now safe and well back at home.
