Daughter renews appeal to find mum who went missing 10 years ago

The daughter of a Leicester woman who went missing 10 years ago has celebrated becoming a teenager last week with a renewed appeal to find her mum.

Ola was three years old when her mother, Malgorzata Wnuczek disappeared and her birthday wish is to see her mother again.

Leicestershire Police have renewed their appeal for information about Malgorzata’s whereabouts.

Malgorzata, 27, was last seen after catching a bus from her workplace at Peter Jackson Logistics in Sunningdale Road, Leicester, into Leicester city centre on Wednesday 31 May 2006.

There have been no sightings of her since.

Gosia, as she was known by her family, had regular contact with her parents, Ryszard and Bozena Smolka, who live in Poland. The last contact with them was a text message sent on 29 May 2006.

Over the last 10 years, officers have spoken to thousands of witnesses with potential information about her whereabouts but nothing has led detectives to finding her.
