What's on at Birmingham Pride?

Birmingham Pride is the UK’s biggest two-day gay festival, attracting more than 75,000 people.

Held every year over the Spring Bank Holiday, it begins with a parade from the city centre to the Gay Village in Hurst Street.

Then the fun continues at the festival site with music acts including Liberty X, Fleur East, Tulisa, Lisa Stansfield and Katy B, a dance arena with DJs, a funfair, cabaret and stalls.

When is Birmingham Pride?

It’s held on Saturday, May 28 and Sunday, May 29.

It gets underway with the carnival parade noon on Saturday, but more exact timings for all the events are here.

Where is it taking place?

Once the parade finishes at Hurst Street, hang around there for more fun at the festival site.

Is this the first year it’s happened?

Certainly not! This is the 20th year so the event has plenty of history.

Can I still get tickets and what will they cost?

Tickets start from £19.80 for one day and under fives get in free. They are still available online, or you could just turn up on the day and pay at a booth, but big queues are expected.
