'Iconic' poppy sculpture to arrive at Lincoln Castle
Instillation begins at Lincoln Castle today of part of the iconic poppies sculpture which wowed millions at the Tower of London.
The artwork, known as 'The Wave', is one of the two sculptures that was housed at the Tower of London in 2014 to mark the 100 year anniversary of the start of the First World War.
A team of technicians and producers will construct the artwork, a process that will take over a week.
The castle was selected by the UK’s official arts programme for the First World War centenary as the only place where the sculpture can be seen during the remainder of 2016.
It will be open to the public from May 28 to September 4.
