Local elections 2016: Tamworth - Conservative hold

The Conservatives have held Tamworth Credit: ITV News Central

There is no change to the control of the council in Tamworth, and indeed the Conservatives have gained two seats.

UKIP have also gained two seats, while Labour are three seats down. An Independent candidate has also lost their seat.

The make up of the council is now:

  • Conservative 20

  • Labour 7

  • UKIP 3
