Lineker reluctant but ready to fulfil Leicester MOTD pants pledge
Former Leicester City star Gary Lineker has admitted he has already spoken to Match of the Day chiefs in a bid to back out of a pledge to present the show in his underpants if Leicester win the title.
The former Foxes striker vowed on Twitter in December to host the programme in his underwear if Claudio Ranieri's side won the Barclays Premier League.
Leicester are favourites to win the title with just three games to go afterbeing 5,000-1 at the start of the season.
Lineker, who played for his boyhood club between 1978 and 1985, conceded discussions have already taken place about him fulfilling his promise.
"You'll have to wait and see. I've kind of said I'll have to do it," the 55-year-old told the Radio Times.
The sports pundit joked that he would have to put in a few more hours at the gym in preparation for the stunt.
"I'm in good shape. For an old b*****d. I'll probably work out for the twoweeks beforehand very, very hard," he added.
He shared an emotional series of tweets in support of the Foxes recent form, as they played at home against Swansea at the weekend.
The Foxes have lost just three times in the league under Ranieri and beatSwansea 4-0 on Sunday meaning they need three points from their final three games to take the title.
