Birmingham trained engineer to spruce up Big Ben
The most famous clock in the world is winding down for some refurbishment work - and a man who trained in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter is making sure the plans stick to time.
A three-year programme of essential works have been announced from next year to conserve the Elizabeth Tower, home to Big Ben in London.
Engineers have identified problems with the tower and clock itself. Among the improvements are LED lights illuminating the clock dials.
It's a big job, but one that Ian Westworth says is worth the challenge.
