Reports of rival football fans fighting
Staffordshire Police were called to Norton Canes services after reports of rival football fans fighting following an FA cup semi final.
Tens of thousands of Everton and Manchester United fans travelled through the county on Saturday after returning from Wembley for the semi final of the FA cup.
Staffordshire Police were called to the services at the M6 toll motorway at 10.14am.
There had been reports of rival football fans fighting and with a considerable number of coaches arriving, safety concerns were also raised by the services management.
No arrests were made and social media footage will possibly be viewed by Merseyside Police and Greater Manchester Police in order to identify those responsible for the incident.
Anyone identified may be considered for a travel restriction order by their club for future away games.
One fan did sustain cuts and bruises having fallen down the steps of a coach at Norton Canes .
Manchester United asked all official supporters coaches via social media to use other services at Keele and Stafford to avoid further congestion at Norton Canes.
