Gardeners Beware! Frost forecast for tonight

After a beautiful day of spring weather with highs of 14c we're expecting temperatures to plummet tonight. Even in towns and cities we can expect lows of 2c. However is you live in a rural area temperatures will dip lower than that to freezing. Here we can expect a frost.

It's worth bearing in mind if you have already put your bedding plants out as they my be damaged by tonight's falling temperatures.

It's a more positive story for Wednesday though. After a chilly start the sunshine will soon get to work boosting the temperatures. This means by the afternoon you can ditch your coat and enjoy highs of 14/15c in lights winds, a lovely Spring afternoon.

Make the most of that because the High Pressure keeping things settled will move off in to the Atlantic later in the week allowing a northerly wind to take hold and make it feel cold by the weekend.
