Midwives from Leicester General hospital have told an inquest that they made a number of mistakes and have changed their practices since the death of a two-day-old baby.

Delilah Hubbard was delivered at the hospital by an emergency cesarean.

Two midwives involved in the care of her mother leading up to the birth said they failed to properly monitor the baby's heart rate and communicate important information about her condition.

They say this was due, in part, to inadequate staffing. The hospital trust has already admitted a number of failings in the care of Delilah.
