Derby Cathedral shortlisted for international award
Derby Cathedral has been shortlisted for the 2016 Lighting Design Awards as 'Heritage Project of the Year', which covers period buildings, churches and places to worship.
Previous winners have included Trinity Hall at the University of Cambridge and King's Cross Square in London.
Other nominations include the Australian War Memorial in Canberra, Australia; the Sayner Huette Foundry in Bendorf, Germany; and the Saraye Ameriha Boutique Hotel in Kashan, Iran.
The international awards, now celebrating their 40th year, will be decided by a judging panel of esteemed professionals from around the globe including New York-based lighting and design pioneer, Howard Brandston and Cardiff University's Professor Richard Weston.
The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 5 May at the London Hilton Park Lane.
