A giant Ferris wheel which has opened in Dudley has been called the 'worst tourist attraction' in Britain because of the views of factories, concrete buildings and car parks.

The Free Radio DY Eye Ferris wheel is 35m high, staking its claim as the largest ever big wheel to set up camp in the Black Country.

However, some locals have criticised the wheel, saying 'it's not a good thing because there's not enough to see in Dudley.'

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council said they have mostly had a positive response so far and its aim is to attract visitors to the town.

It opened for business on Saturday March 12, and will remain in place throughout the Easter period, until April 10.

Ahead of the opening, Len Lenihan, managing director of Dudley Market Traders Ltd and a member of the Dudley Business Group, said:
