'Shakespeare's Airport' welcomes people into the region in time for anniversary

Birmingham Airport has unveiled a new Shakespeare installation in its arrivals terminal to welcome the millions of people who arrive into the region each year via the 'Shakespeare's Airport.'

The new artwork gives visitors a taste of what the region can offer, showcasing the range of tourist attractions including the Royal Shakespeare Company, Kenilworth Castle, Warwick Castle, Leamington Spa, and Shakespeare's Family Houses.

The unveiling is just one of a number of exhibitions and events which celebrate 400 years of William Shakespeare's legacy.2016 marks the 400th anniversary since the death of the famous playwright and the airport is expecting an influx of people visiting his home in Stratford-upon-Avon.
