Pollution fears after Stafford fire

There are concerns about pollution in the River Sow after a major fire broke out at an industrial estate in Stafford.

The fire took place last week at Astonfields on Drummond Street, which sits near 40,000 litres of industrial oil.

Local residents are now worried that the oil has spread into the River Sow.

Sam Collingwood walks his dog along the river and told ITV News Central the situation is 'getting worse' and is leaking pollution into nearby farmlands in the area.

The Environment Agency said it is working to limit the amount of oil entering the water but the cleanup will take 'some time'.
