Northern lights spotted over the Midlands
The sky in some parts of the region were painted green, purple and blue on Sunday evening, thanks to a "lucky combination" of conditions that made the Northern Lights visible across large parts of the country.
The aurora borealis was seen as far south as Oxfordshire as skies cleared and there was even a sighting in Shropshire.

The best place to see the lights was in Scotland and the North East.
