Bikers from across the country travelled to Matlock Bath in Derbyshire today to protest against proposed parking charges.

It would mean bikers are charged 50p an hour for a maximum of two hours.

The convoy of motorcycles caused tailbacks on parts of the A6.

Bikers say it will spoil a tradition and many traders are worried it will affect their businesses if the riders stay away.

This isn't the first time there's been an attempt to introduce a charge for parking.

A similar proposal in 2012 was abandoned after thousands objected. This time Derbyshire County Council say that the planned charge will help increase visitor numbers.

They say a final decision has yet to be made.
