Nottingham Forest legend Stuart Pearce set to return to the beautiful game at the age of 53
Nottingham Forest legend Stuart Pearce is to lace up his football boots once again in a bid to transform the fortunes of a struggling non-league side.
Pearce - nicknamed Psycho - is to return from retirement at the age of 53 to play for Gloucestershire-based Longford AFC in a match next Saturday.
The club has previously been branded "the worst team in the country" after a season-long losing streak.
Pearce was due to make his debut for the side last month, but the game had to be postponed due to bad weather.
The club announced Pearce a new date for his debut over social media.
