Rabbit from Black Country gets award for helping owner fight anorexia
A rabbit who helped his teenage owner to overcome an eating disorder and to deal with family bereavement has been honoured with an award.
Roary the rabbit, from Rowley Regis, was a source of support for his owner Ellie when she developed an eating disorder following the death of her granddad.
Ellie's mum Joanne bought Roary, along with another rabbit, hoping that having responsibility for a pet would help her daughter to recover.
The award is being presented to Roary by veterinary charity PDSA, which has a Pet Hospital in Oldbury.
He'll receive a certificate at a special presentation later today.
