Police appeal for witnesses following a spate of burglaries in Hall Green
Officers have released CCTV footage of two men they are trying to trace after four burglaries and one attempted burglary in the Tyseley and Hall Green areas of Birmingham.
The most recent burglary occurred last night (Wednesday 24 February) at a property on Sarehole Road, Hall Green. At approximately 7.15pm two men forced open a window and entered the house.
They left after the owner returned and exited via a side door taking thousands of pounds worth of jewellery.
A property on Cateswell Road was also burgled last week, between the 18 and 21 February. The suspects smashed open a rear window to gain access to the house and hundreds of pounds worth of cash and jewellery was stolen.
There have been two further burglaries in the area:
• Shaftmoor Lane, Hall Green: Sometime between 18 and 20 February
• Springcroft Road, Tyseley: Between 2.30pm on 18 Feb and 5.30am on 19 Feb
Though it is not yet clear if anything has been taken from these two properties.
On 12 February, two men used a jemmy to try and open a patio door to gain access to a property on Shaftmoor Lane sometime between 6.30pm and 7.15pm.
The force used caused the window to smash and the men ran off.
Police are treating all five offences as linked and believe they have been committed by the same two men.
Officers are conducting extensive house to house and CCCTV enquiries and are proactively patrolling the area.
Anyone with any information should call police on 101.
