Dog dumped in lane with dead puppies in fish and chip shop carrier bag
A dog was found dumped in a lane with her newborn puppies dead in a plastic fish and chip shop carrier bag, the RSPCA said.
The cocker spaniel, named Carly, was spotted lying next to the bag by a cyclist in Old Leake, near Boston, Lincolnshire, on Sunday morning.
Attempts by vets to resuscitate the puppies were unsuccessful.
RSPCA inspector Becky Harper said:
The dog’s microchip has revealed she is called Carly and is three years-old, vets said.
