Severe flooding in Warwickshire after river banks burst

A major stretch of river running through Warwickshire has burst its banks, causing severe flooding.

Water flooded into the Weddington area near Nuneaton after the force of the deluge of rain caused the nearby River Anker to flood the adjoining fields.

Constant rain throughout the day has hit many areas across the town and further afield and members of the North Warwickshire Policing Area team have posted messages on social media warning of numerous floods in the area.
