Final Land Rover Defender to roll off production line

The final Land Rover Defender will roll off the production line this morning at the company's plant in Solihull.

In 68 years of production, more than 2,000,000 Defenders were built.

The final 15 will be completed this morning at an event to mark the end of production.

Once the last of the 4x4s has been made in the special Defender Manufacturing building, employees that worked on the off-roader will hold a celebration for the famous vehicle and its history.

In December, the two millionth Defender sold at auction for £400,000, highlighting the value the famous model holds with people worldwide.
