Watch: Walsall NHS Trust boss responds to critical report
The head of Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust says they have already started making the necessary changes, after a report said it should be put into special measures.
Chief executive Richard Kirby was responding to a CQC report which found his organisation needed to make "urgent improvements"
He acknowledged the stress put on emergency and maternity services, but defended the conduct of his staff.
He said there were a range of different factors behind the Trust's failings, describing it as a 'perfect storm' which has 'landed us where we are'.
